A 200 year milestone requires a remarkable celebration! Bicentennial events have been happening on and around campus.

UC Bicentennial Celebration in Taiwan – 2019 CCMers Concert

Alumni of the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) are presenting a concert for the University of Cincinnati Alumni in Taiwan to celebrate the UC 200th anniversary at the Eslite Performance Hall (B2, No.88, Yanchang Rd., Xinyi Dist., Taipei City, Taiwan).

January 15-19, 2019
The official kickoff of the Bicentennial honored our rich history with events focused around our founding date in January of 1819. We enthusiastically received a proclamation from the City of Cincinnati, unveiled our virtual reality experiences, and heard more about Dr. Daniel Drake, the founder of Ohio Medical College and Cincinnati College. We kept the party going across the city, with celebrations and cake at all UC campuses.
UC Community Week
April 1-6, 2019
Community Week festivities included an array of thought-provoking discussions at UC Research + Innovation Week, Business Analytics Conference and more. The week culminated with a large-scale Community Day - with educational sessions, open house, and was capped off by a projection-mapping light show: MOMENTUM.
Bicentennial Alumni Celebration

The UC Alumni Association’s most prestigious annual alumni event recognized and celebrated the many contributions and overall excellence of UC alumni in countless fields of endeavor throughout the world. It was a glitzy evening full of special presentations and performances, plus dinner by the bite, and a champagne dessert reception.
New York City Showcase
April 13, 2019
Thanks to all who headed to the Big Apple for an exclusive celebratory weekend marking the Bicentennial and the 50th anniversary of the CCM Musical Theatre Program. Saturday's Bicentennial Showcase was an unforgettable presentation in iconic Gotham Hall by the CCM Musical Theatre graduating seniors, capped off with group excursions and experiences throughout the weekend.
Naples and Palm Beach, Florida
Thanks to all alumni who joined us on February 19th & 20th for receptions in Naples and Palm Beach. The events featured UC President Neville Pinto, Athletic Director Mike Bohn and Head Football Coach Luke Fickell.
Chicagoans for Cincy! Bicentennial Gala
February 28 was a great evening of Bearcat spirit at the Chicagoans for Cincy Gala. Thanks to all who attended and supported scholarships while celebrating the Bicentennial!
Columbus Bicentennial Celebration & Commendation
On March 12, President Pinto was joined by members of the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate for a special commendation and reception to celebrate UC’s 200 years of impact.
UC Day of Giving

Dinner with 200
Dinner With 200 was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that brought together 100 students and 100 alumni to celebrate the UC Bicentennial. Guests enjoyed dinner together and discussed the importance of remaining an engaged Bearcat after graduation. The evening featured alumni speakers who shared their personal stories, as well as the opportunity to shoot hoops in Fifth Third Arena.
Unveiling of Daniel Drake Marker and Cecil Striker Lecture
A ceremony on Wednesday, May 15 honored Dr. Daniel Drake with the official unveiling of an Ohio Historical Marker. The marker commemorates Drake’s involvement in founding the Medical College of Ohio and Cincinnati College. The ceremony was followed by the Cecil Striker Society Annual Lecture with presentations on the topic of “Daniel Drake’s Connection to Sir William Osler: Celebrating Two Medical Education Reformers” by Philip M. Diller, MD, PhD, and Robert E. Rakel, MD.
